John "Wes" Hall V was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he attended St. Thomas More Catholic High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Wes began his career in the financial industry with Acadian Capital Group, where he gained valuable experience on the venture capital side, analyzing early-stage companies and investment opportunities. He later joined J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in San Antonio, Texas, where he further developed his expertise in portfolio management, client relationships, and comprehensive financial planning.

Driven by a lifelong passion for investments and a desire to provide personalized, independent advice, Wes launched JW Hall Financial, LLC in 2025. Based in San Antonio, the firm is dedicated to helping clients grow, preserve, and transfer wealth through thoughtful financial planning and disciplined investment management.

A proud fifth-generation Louisianan, Wes continues to build upon his family’s legacy while forging his own path as an independent advisor. Outside of his work, he enjoys golfing, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
